Revising a Course

If a course needs to be updated, the user should maintain proper change control by creating a new revision of the course (the previous version will remain in the system for retention and archiving).

  1. From the Course record, click Action > New Revision.
  2. Check the Copy References checkbox to copy any references to the new revision.
  3. Check the Copy Costs checkbox to copy the costs to the new revision.
  4. Check the Copy Prerequisites checkbox to copy the prerequisites to the new revision.
  5. Check the Copy Self-Training Options checkbox to copy the self training options to the new revision.
  6. Click the Save button.
Result: The new revision has been created.

NOTE: Revising a course will copy all previous revision history and issue a new course revision. When a new course revision is activated, the previous course status changes from Current to Revised. When in a Revised status, the old revision can still be used for training sessions (until you expire it).
